When I started photography at college (had no previous experience before) I took such an interest in self portraits. Self portraits allow me to become so invested with my work and hence become very personal. At university I felt I lost this, so this past summer I took it up again and came out with project ‘Milk’.

Milk is often associated with innocence and purity, yet the images I create should make you feel unnerving yet you do not want to look away. That was my aim.

Also if anyone wants to know yes, I did pour a few litres of milk into a bath and submerged myself within. Dedication.
