I wanted to see what the quality would be like if i painted the images instead of using photography. I’m very happy with the first painting, however the second I didn’t feel worked as the execution of the hand isn’t great and I feel the photos give a much stronger aesthetic.
I wanted to combine some of the images together, and I ended up taking sections of the body and combining them into one large bath. I purposely dismembered them and put them in the wrong order to add a chilling quality.
I took these myself in the bath filled with milky water. The idea behind it was a lot more simpler than the outcome. Originally I just wanted to show the human form in various ways however the context became much greater. Milk became the core context, bringing about the ideologies of innocence, youth and purity attached with milk. I wanted the viewer to make their own conclusions and tap into their own personal feelings.
